Chanelle's fury at Ziggy's kiss 'n' tell
Well, we weren't that surprised when we heard on-off Big Brother lovers Chanelle Hayes and Ziggy Lichman had finally decided to call time on their relationship last Thursday. However, we were a little shocked at the speed with which Ziggy popped up in the Sunday tabloids to "reveal the shocking secret truth about their affair". Among the many accusations he levelled at the Victoria Beckham wannabe in yesterday's News of the World are: she punched, slapped and attacked him with a bottle; she threatened suicide and slashed her wrists; and she accused him of cheating and flew into jealous rages.
A closer reading of the story reveals these incidents weren't quite as dramatic as they first sound - but they still paint a picture of a very dysfunctional relationship and a not-very-happy Chanelle. Mind you, she's even less happy now she's read her ex-lover's no-holds-barred interview. "If he needed the money that badly I would have given it to him myself," she snaps in today's Daily Star. "He's nothing more than a kiss'n'tell rat. He treats his dog better."
Chanelle reportedly decided to end the relationship following a string of rows over reports Ziggy had publicly denied he wanted to get engaged. She also accused him of chatting up other girls - and having a fling with ubiquitous tabloid babe Danielle Lloyd. So all in all, it probably wasn't a marriage made in heaven.
Still, despite selling his story faster than you can say, "2,000 words to the highest bidder", Ziggy still insists he cares deeply about Chanelle. "I do have every sympathy for her and genuinely wish her the best," he deadpans. "I will still be there for her when she needs me. My feelings for her have never disappeared." Hmmm... you've got a funny way of showing it, mate...
